Ανταλλαγή Νέων στην Τουρκία

Dear Partners, friends, and colleagues,
We as Anatolian Tolerance Movement will organize EU Youth in Action Program Action 1.1 Project (Youth Exchange) which is approved by Turkish National Agency on 8-16 December 2012 in Mardin/Turkiye (You can find information about city below) about stopping violence between young people, building self confidenc
e of young people, intercultural dialogue, involvement of young people in society, and conflict resolution.

Project Info:

Violence is what people should stay away but specially in last years while violence rates are rising between nations, people, and families it is also becoming common between young people. Because of hard adolescent years most of youngsters find theirselves in empty space for a while and this is pushing them to show up in their society and mostly this showing up comes out with violent methods, young people damage theirselves, their environment and people around them.

Our project will be concentrated on problems of young people in local, domestic, European and Global level and trying to find ways out of violence between young people by giving them courage, involving them in society in a way they wish and make their career planning well.

Young people will be able to see they can also solve their problems by different methods, and their communication level will get higher since they will communicate with people from different countries, understand differences and respect them.
We are planning to organize different workshops about volunteerism, conflict resolution, fighting against stereotypes and prejudices, sports, active citizenship and developing self confidence during project. But all participants will also have chance to visit Mardin and its surroundings since they will be in real Middle Eastern Province with mosaics of cultures.

Intercultural and interreligious learning will take very important place in project since most of violent results come because of misunderstanding and we will show young people how to be involved in society, gain respect of people by peaceful ways, and develop self confidence.
